NFL Playoffs
With the final game of the regular season game between the Eagles and the Cowboys coming down to the final seconds and a failed two point conversion that sent Dallas packing to spend the balance of the year with their families, the playoff landscape became complete, and the match-ups are as follows.

Saturday, January 4, 2013
Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts: Young quarterbacks collide in the AFC match-up, with Alex Smith under center for the Chiefs, and the sophomore sensation Andrew Luck at the helm for the Colts. The Chiefs have the edge defensively, and Indy will have to bring their A-game to their home turf to have any opportunity to advance their playoff season.

San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers
Skating in on the throwing hand of Aaron Rodgers, the Pack bounced their division rival Chicago Bears from the playoffs to win the division. Matching up against the agile and quick Colin Kaepernick under center for the 49ers, the Packers will have their hands completely full of fast, athletic players, especially with all of their team’s injuries surfacing throughout the season and carrying into the post season.

San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals
Backing into the playoffs with all the right things happening at the right time, and winning in overtime to solidify their spot, the San Diego Super Chargers are back in familiar playoff fashion. Their quarterback, Philip Rivers, shines like a diamond in the post season, and it will take everything Cincinnati has to hold them off and move forward with their season.

New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles
With a new coach and a new outlook the Eagles are returning to the playoff scene by narrowly escaping the Cowboys on Sunday night. The bad news? They are matching up with the New Orleans Saints, and Drew Brees is as hot as ever.

Taking the week off with first round byes include the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks and Carolina Panthers. The first weekend of the New Year will decide their opponents, and the second round should be incredibly interesting to say the least.
